Testing method for density viscosity of oil filter after filtrating of waste liquid oil

2018/5/15 Viewers:
The oil filter is used to filter the waste hydraulic oil and the density of the oil is determined by densitometer. The densitometer method is based on Archimedes's law. When a densitometer sinks a liquid, a part of the liquid is discharged and is bottom-up, which is equal to the buoyancy of the liquid weight. According to Archimedes's law, when the weight of the liquid in the density meter is equal to the weight of the densitometer, the densimeter is in the equilibrium state, that is, floating in the liquid oil. The greater the density of liquid oil, the higher the density of the densitometer floating in it. The smaller the density of liquid oil, the deeper the density gauge sinks. That is, when the density of oil is different, the density meter will sink to different degrees. From this, we know that the denser scale on the densitometer scale is located at the lower part of the ruler, and the smaller density is located in the upper part.

Why use the dilution method to measure the viscosity of the oil with large viscosity by the densitometer; how to calculate the density of the high viscosity oil by the dilution method; how to calculate the density of the mixed oil sample; because the viscosity of the oil is large (too thick), when the density is put down, the density meter will not be free to float, and the meter reads the scale at the density meter. Having dark oil products and affecting reading will result in inaccuracy or inability to determine. So it is necessary to use kerosene to dilute it. When using the dilution method to measure the density of the viscosity oil, it is to take a certain amount of test oil (if the oil is too thick to be heated to the flow), then the mixture is mixed evenly with the volume of the test oil and the kerosene at the same temperature, then the density of the mixed oil is measured, and the oil temperature is recorded at the same time.
