What is the dielectric loss factor of the insulating oil filter for production operation

2018/5/17 Viewers:
The significance of measuring dielectric loss factor to production operation is:

(1) the dielectric loss factor of insulating oil can clearly indicate the refining degree and purification degree of the oil. The dielectric loss factor of the normal and purified oil is very small, and when the temperature rises, the loss of the medium is not very high, and the heating and cooling curves are basically coincided. However, when the degree of oil refining is not enough, or the bottom of the purification is not enough, the dielectric loss of the oil is larger and the temperature increases rapidly. Therefore, dielectric loss factor is one of the important electrical properties of new insulating oil.
(2) the aging degree of insulating oil in operation can be reflected from the change of dielectric loss due to the change of numerical value. When the oil has been aging and the aging products dissolved in oil are more, the dielectric loss factor will increase obviously. Therefore, the dielectric loss factor is also one of the control indexes in the quality index of the transformer oil in operation. The oil material should be taken regularly to determine the loss factor of the medium.
(3) the dielectric loss of insulating oil is of great significance for judging the insulation characteristics of transformer. If the dielectric loss factor of insulating oil increases, the insulation characteristic of transformer will deteriorate. Dielectric loss causes heat generated inside the insulation, and the greater the dielectric loss, the greater the heat generated inside the insulation. In turn, the loss of medium is increased more. If this continues, the breakdown will be formed at the insulation defect, which will affect the safe operation of the equipment.
